Pakistan’s claim on 3 Rafales shot down ‘inaccurate’, better than F-35 & Chinese fighters—Dassault CEO

New Delhi: French aircraft manufacturing company Dassault Aviation chief executive officer Eric Trappier yesterday dismissed as untrue the allegations by Pakistan that it has shot down three Indian Rafale fighter aircraft last month when it carried out an assault named Operation Sindoor.

Insisting that the Rafale was superior to the American F-35 and “far superior” to all the Chinese aircraft in the market, the CEO of the company that produces the Rafale claimed that operations cannot be measured by absence of losses but the accomplishment of missions.

The Indians did not communicate and therefore we do not know what exactly occurred. It is already known that what they (Pakistani) are saying (three Rafales destroyed) is not correct,”Files told French magazine Challenges during an interview ahead of the Paris Air Show.

Moreover, he said that when you are flying combat aircraft you are accomplishing a mission. Success of a mission is not a lack of losses; it is knowing whether or not your goals were accomplished.

This is not what Trappier said during the Second World War that the Allies lost the war because they lost troops.

We are going to see how the losses were or whether there were profits and whether the war aims were attained. Some people will be surprised when it is out, he said.

When requested the commentary on how the Rafale is performing relative to the other fighter jets, the Chief executive of the Dassault, stated that, it is true, that the Rafale is the best airplane in the globe, better than the F-35 and inferior to all the Chinese airplanes that are in the market.
